On this episode of East Los High, the truth is revealed about Maya’s father and Ceci celebrates a birthday.  But of course, these events don’t come without drama.

Following Lupe’s funeral service, Reina confronts Maya.  This is the first time the two have seen each other since Maya left Campo.  Reina continues on to confront Rodolfo, the man who we learned is Maya’s father, and then Paulina.  Paulina pleads for Reina to talk to Maya about the truth about her father.  Reina reveals that is the exact reason why she is here.  After Reina takes a few shots and the crowd makes a toast to Jessie and Jacob, Maya gets really upset and walks off.  Reina follows her and they start arguing.  Maya starts to walk off again, but before she could get far enough away, Reina mentions that she wants to share details about her father.

Reina brings Maya back to her rehab center and explains all about her father.  She tells Maya that they weren’t married but she thought they were in love.  All of the sudden, everything changed.  He denied he was the father when she got pregnant and everyone believed him, even her own parents.  Reina reveals that Maya’s father is a priest and doesn’t actually live in San Francisco like she thought.  Finally, Reina tells Maya that she has already met her father; her father is Father Rodolfo.  After this is shared, church officials approach Rodolfo about fathering Maya.  They say a DNA test will confirm whether he is the father or not.  Maya wants to talk to him, and when she and Reina go to his home, a woman answers the door.

Meanwhile, Ceci, Soli, and Jessie are back at Jessie’s house after the service.  As the girls are talking and washing dishes, Ceci’s water breaks.  Her labor progresses very quickly and she does not have enough time to get to the hospital to deliver her baby.  With the 911 operator guiding her, Jessie successfully delivers Ceci’s baby.  Ceci doesn’t want to hold her baby after the unexpected delivery.  Soli reveals that she is never having sex after watching Ceci gives birth and Jessie reveals that she doesn’t think she could do what Ceci just did.

While Ceci and the baby are receiving the medical care they need, the doctor talks to Jessie about the possibility of a medical career in the future.  She also talks to Jessie about her own pregnancy.  Jessie learns it is too late to undergo a medical abortion but they discuss the other options.  The doctor reminds her that it shouldn’t be about what someone else wants her to do; it should be about what Jessie wants to do.
