High School Relationships vs. Summer Camp Relationships

Before I give my comparison between relationships in two completely different places, I will first explain what summer camp is.  Many kids, “tweens,” and teenagers go to a variety of summer sleepaway/overnight camps to enjoy a variety of sports, activities, as well as hang with friends.  The three sleepaway/overnight camps I’ve experienced, all were coed and were basically confined on a huge piece of property in rural areas.  Being confined in such areas from a few weeks to two months drastically impacts relationships.

Drinking: Maybe Not the Best Idea

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, which seems as good a time as any to start thinking about how much you really know about drinking. If you haven’t already, at some point you may find yourself in situations where alcohol is available. You may be tempted to try it, because experimentation is what growing up is all about. But here’s the thing about drinking: it takes away your inhibitions and it’s possible that you’ll make not-so-smart choices as a result.
