Here at Stay Teen, we love talking about sex. You think we’re joking? It’s something that everyone has questions about and will probably do at some point in their life, but the questions of when, why, how, and who with always pop up at some point. So it was perfect when we were trolling YouTube and found Laci Green’s videos, more specifically her video Right age to have sex??

Our parents tell us be safe. Our educators tell us not to do it. How do we be safe? What is ‘it’? With the best intentions but nothing actually being said, you’re given the paddles to row and no boat to steer. 

I hope everyone had a box of tissues with them to get through this episode. This episode kept my eyes watering from beginning to end. 

A mom, her four children, a daughter’s boyfriend, an infant grandchild, another grandchild on the way, and occasionally her ex-husband all under one roof. Let’s add that up, that’s 8 going on 9. Anyone living in that home is bound to go crazy, but sometimes you just have to make it work and that’s exactly what Devon, a soon to be teen mom, is trying to do.

From watching all the past episodes of 16 and Pregnant, it’s clear that being a teen mom is really difficult, but imagine being a teen mom and having your baby’s dad on the other side of the country! 

It sounds like a cute story to be with the boy you met in 6^th grade, but in this week’s episode of 16 & Pregnant, we see why so many people don’t end up with their middle school or high school sweethearts. Sarah lives at home with her mom, brother, and boyfriend Blake. Blake is also the father over her soon-to be born daughter, Tinleigh.

You are at risk of getting pregnant every time you have sex. It doesn’t make a difference if it is your first time or your 50th time and that’s what Hope found out when she got pregnant after having sex just four or five times. When Hope first started describing her relationship (or lack thereof) with the father of her baby (Ben), I was positive he wasn’t going to stick around. She met Ben about a year ago and without knowing him very well, decided to have sex with him. Hope jumped from never having sex or even a boyfriend to having sex with someone she barely knew. Were you surprised to learn that she was so willing to have sex with Ben?

Myranda and her boyfriend, Eric, both seem to have had a tough upbringing. Although we never learn much about Eric’s family, we know that he has been raised from the beginning by his grandmother and we never see his parents during the episode. Myranda was never really able to enjoy her childhood because her mom’s addiction problems got in the way. Myranda’s mom has had a lifelong struggle with addiction to drugs and alcohol. Even though Myranda doesn’t live her with mom anymore, her childhood will be cut short when she’s forced to become a mom herself.

Wow, this episode was full of drama and I am really interested to hear about what you all thought about it.
