Sometimes it seems like everyone is doing it…especially if you’re not. But believe it or not, less than half high school students are sexually active (it’s true—we crunched the numbers ourselves). That means that more than half aren’t having sex…and if you’re one of them, you’re in really good company. It’s okay to have sex but it’s also okay not to have sex—it is your choice; no one else should pressure you or make you feel like you’re a loser if you don’t do it. Sex is a big deal and it’s worth thinking a little bit about whether or not you’re ready to become sexually active. So what is it like to be abstinent? How do you say no if someone is pressuring you?
