During last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, it looked like all the moms are facing big challenges and are making lots of changes. With a couple of moms discussing moving and one looking for a job, these moms never get the chance to just relax. 

Last night’s Teen Mom back-to-back episodes were a great way to spend a Tuesday night. Two new cars, a new townhouse and some long-awaited test results all seem like a step in the right direction for the teen moms. But we also know by now that the life of a teen mother is a roller coaster, with constant ups and downs and all they can do is try their best to hold on for the ride.

Wow! Some crazy news on last night’s Teen Mom 2. I can’t believe that Chelsea’s friend Megan is pregnant! Since she used to live with Chelsea and Aubree you’d think she’d see how hard it is being a teen mom. 

It’s Christmas time for Teen Mom 2! There was a lot going on, but it seemed like everyone had one thing in common: all of the girls were forced to deal with separation. Kailyn was separated from her son, Jenelle from her boyfriend, and Chelsea considers how her parents’ separation affects her life and relationship with Adam. On the other hand, Leah is so grateful to not be separated from her babies (like she was last year), that she decides Christmas has to go perfectly. 

Yay!! I love when the Teen Moms talk about birth control. Kailyn wins this week for bringing birth control conversations out in the open.

A lot of teenage girls think having a baby will make their relationship with the father stronger. Unfortunately, 8 out of 10 fathers don’t stay with the teen mother of their child. This week on Teen Mom 2, a lot of the girls struggled with their relationships. Having a baby has complicated everything in Chelsea and Leah’s lives. Both of them are in relationships that have rocky foundations. Chelsea and Adam fought and broke up often, even before Aubree was born. Leah and Corey were only dating about a month before Leah became pregnant…Leah expected Corey to be a fun rebound from her breakup with longtime boyfriend Robbie, not her husband and father of her children. Relationships are even harder when there’s a baby to think about.

Everyone is already going through some pretty rough stuff this week on Teen Mom 2. Welfare, doctor’s appointments, surgery, and homelessness…these are some pretty big issues for anyone to handle, let alone a teenager. Having a baby has really changed the living situations for the girls on the show. Kailyn is struggling to find the resources to live on her own. Meanwhile, Jenelle is living in her car after her mother kicked her out.  

Welcome to a new season of Teen Mom! It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from the girls, so I’m super excited to see what this season will bring. It definitely started off with a bang, so let’s recap what happened!

Yes! I am a Latina. Yes, I am 16 years old. And yes I am NOT pregnant! I am aware of all the stereotypes and all the criticism people say about Latinos, and that brings me to my first reason.  I know I won’t be a teen mom because I want to prove people wrong. Hearing all those judgments and being looked down upon is my motivation. I want to prove I can be somebody, because I believe that we can get out of this situation. We are strong people.  

Did you know that more than half of Latinas will get pregnant as teens? That's compared to 3 in 10 girls overall...it's nearly twice the national average. So why are the rates so high? And what is it like to be a teen parent in the Latino community? We asked seven young Latinos to share their stories with us, and we've collected them in this video, Demasiado Joven:
