16 and Pregnant Season 4: Myranda

Myranda and her boyfriend, Eric, both seem to have had a tough upbringing. Although we never learn much about Eric’s family, we know that he has been raised from the beginning by his grandmother and we never see his parents during the episode. Myranda was never really able to enjoy her childhood because her mom’s addiction problems got in the way. Myranda’s mom has had a lifelong struggle with addiction to drugs and alcohol. Even though Myranda doesn’t live her with mom anymore, her childhood will be cut short when she’s forced to become a mom herself.

16 and Pregnant Season 4: Jordan

Wow, this episode was full of drama and I am really interested to hear about what you all thought about it.

Teen Pregnancy in The Eyes Of The Community

For the past couple of years, it’s not much of a shocker when you walk through the streets and see a teen parent. “Look here she comes!”  “Dang! That’s crazy!” “I can’t believe she’s pregnant!” These are the words that are said among my community as a first reaction when they see a teen mom. “When’s the baby shower?” “Do you know the sex?” “How far along are you?” These words, on the contrary, are from those who are a little less judgmental, and are a little more used to the situation. No matter the response, when it’s not you in their shoes, you should think twice about your reactions.

16 and Pregnant Season 4: Alex

A lot happened in this week’s episode, so let’s get right into it.

16 and Pregnant Season 4: Lindsey

In this episode of 16 and Pregnant, we met Lindsey who has dreams of becoming a professional cage fighter, but has to put her dreams on hold now that she is pregnant. Instead of pursuing cage fighting, she currently works at a fast food restaurant. She is doing her best to save some money for the baby and has an on and off again relationship with her boyfriend Forest. When Forest first found out that Lindsey was pregnant, he (along with Lindsey’s mom) tried to convince her to have an abortion. Once Lindsey said she was keeping the baby, Forest stopped talking to her for a few months. But now it looks like their relationship is back on.

Missing a Moment

The fact that my parents didn’t like Meena, my girlfriend senior year, wasn’t so bad. They knew better than to make a big deal of their disapproval or tell a teenager whom to date. The problem arrived, however, when my mom came home early from work one day and caught Meena and me taking our lunch break at home...in my bed.... After she sternly commanded: "get your butt to class," I made record time getting dressed and to the school building.

16 and Pregnant Season 4: Briana

Well this episode of 16 & Pregnant definitely showed us a new situation that families of teen parents might have to endure.

16 and Pregnant Season 4: Katie

Most high school seniors have to worry about graduating, finding a prom dress, and starting college, but most don’t have to do it at the same time as having a baby. In this episode of 16 and Pregnant, we meet Katie, who is finishing up her senior year of high school and had high hopes for her future. She was going to start taking classes at her dream college in Denver with her best friend and then after that she planned to get her Master’s degree in psychology. But that was all put on hold when she found out she was pregnant.

16 and Pregnant Season 4: Mackenzie

When you’re 16 you think you can do just about anything. You have high hopes and big dreams. If you want something bad enough, nothing will get in your way…except maybe a baby. In this week’s episode of 16 and Pregnant we met Mackenzie.

Parental Control 2.0

When it comes to dating, my mom and step dad are what some (me) might call over-protective, and what others (other parents) would call responsible guardians. In my opinion, I agree with the second statement, and I really appreciate how they act if I’m dating someone. Sure, my step dad will toss in an overload of terrible jokes to awkwardly break the ice, and my mom might talk too much because she’s interested in how the boy will treat me, but for the most part, they are excellent parents when it comes to this issue.
