Teen Mom Season 4: Strike Out
This week Farrah celebrates a milestone and says goodbye to her teenaged years as she turns 20. She develops an interest in her new, older neighbor and decides to feel out if he’s boyfriend material. After he takes her to a birthday dinner she decides that even though he’s older, she may be more mature than he is. It’s hard enough as a teen to find someone who is boyfriend material, but it’s REALLY a challenge as a young mother. Farrah wants to make sure she picks the right kind of guy to be around her daughter. Although she thought an older guy might be more responsible. the truth is that many guys are just not ready to take on the responsibility of raising a child, especially with a girl they just met. Looks like Sophia will be the only one in Farrah’s heart for a while longer.
Ty’s dad Butch has been released from jail and Ty is unenthused when he goes to pick him up. Butch is living with Catelynn and Ty for six months and they hope to help him stay out of trouble and keep him out of jail. There is a list of rules that Ty tells Butch he has to stick to, but shortly after he gets back, Butch breaks his midnight curfew and doesn’t come home one night. Catelynn and Ty gave their daughter up for adoption because they weren’t ready to be parents but the two of them are now playing mom and dad to Butch. Ty clearly loves Butch but he tells him, “I’m not going to love you to death.” Ty’s mom warns Ty not to enable Butch. Do you think Ty has the willpower to kick Butch out if he breaks the rules again?
Amber is finally reunited with Gary and Leah after about a month of separation. At the last minute, JJ, Amber’s caseworker, reveals that she, Leah, and Gary still cannot be together because of the no contact order. This puts a bit of a damper on the visit but Amber looks happy for the first time since she’s been at rehab when she sees Leah. She and Gary have a rockier reunion when they get into a fight at couples therapy, but they are both committed to letting go of everything in their relationship and treating each other with more respect. It’s going to be hard for Gary and Amber to try and work it out. Among couples where both parents reported that the pregnancy was unplanned, only 68% of mothers agreed that their relationship was very happy. That’s compared to 83% of mothers who say their relationships are happy and where the pregnancy was planned by both partners. It’s clear that two people’s relationship is better when they are both prepared to have a baby.
Maci has serious trust issues with Ryan’s new girlfriend, Dalis, and wants to know what she’s like if she’s going to be around Bentley. Since Maci and Ryan were both so young when they had Bentley, their relationship fell apart due to the stress of raising a child. Like most teen mothers, Maci did not end up with the father of her baby. Since he is Bentley’s father, Maci still has to deal with Ryan and whoever else he brings around. She doesn’t really have control of who is around her child while he’s with Ryan. Dalis remains a mystery to Maci when she barely says anything to her and Ryan refuses Maci’s invitation for him and Dalis to go out with her friends. Imagine having to meet every one of your ex’s new girlfriends. Talk about awkward. Maci expresses her frustration of this new girl and dislikes the fact that she’s already on vacation with Ryan’s family when they haven’t been together that long. Do you think Maci still has feelings for Ryan? Or is she jealous of a possible new mother figure in Bentley’s life?

WHAT OTHER TEENS ARE SAYING:
ok i think that maci should have a right to kinda be mad right now, i mean if i had a son and my ex had a new girl around him alot i would want to find out more about her to. And no she might not be jealous or still have feelings for rayn it might simply just be that she wants to find out more about this girl that is around her son. But then again she might be kinda jealouse i mean it would be hard to think that another girl is around your son and that might possiably be a mother figure in his life.
I think Maci might still have feelings for Ryan deep down inside of her and her heart. I mean he is the father of her child and they had a baby together so there had to be something there to not give Bentley up for adoption or get an abortion. I think Maci and Ryan would be great together and they would see that if they would work out their promblems. I love Maci and Bentley, but i think Maci needs Ryan back in her life more. Its my opinion nobody else has to agree thats fine with me.
